S·KIN - The Unfold
S·KIN
1–30 October
Thurs–Fri 12:00–18:30
Sat–Sun 11:00–18:30
S·KIN is a journal gathering various artists who work between photography, performance and sculpture. The name of the journal is a blend of the words Skin and Kin. Skin touches upon layers of realities, layers that can repair and replace themselves. From page to page, one unfolds while also withholding something new. A selection of artists will exhibit their work in conjunction with a launch of issue #1 The Unfold. The exhibition plays between the slippage of a printed publication within a limited, equal scale as opposed to a temporal exhibition within a three dimensional spatial experience. The visitor will have the chance to take part in extensions of the images and the publication itself. Emphasize is on the bodily experience and reflection on the idea of skin by using different paper, projections and different material which can be seen as the flesh of the exhibition.
